Water's Edge is in Beadnell. It's semi-detached, right next to a little inlet. You get swans and seabirds going past, which is nice.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable but not fancy. The sun room at the entrance is good, has underfloor heating and a sofa to look out at the water. There's a washing machine and tumble dryer in there behind cupboard doors.
The main room is open plan. French doors open to a small balcony. Outside, there's a gravelled bit by the water with a barbecue and furniture.
The village shop and a couple of pubs are about five minutes' walk. They do food. There's a small, rocky bay about 300 yards away. The main beach, Beadnell Bay, is less than a mile. It's a big sandy beach, good for watersports or just a walk.
Seahouses is two miles up the coast. That's where you get the boats out to the Farne Islands to see the birds and seals. There are shops and cafes there too. Bamburgh is another three miles, with the castle.
Alnwick is a few miles inland. The castle and the Alnwick Garden are there.
Facilities: it's got a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
