Water's Edge Holiday Home

Water's Edge is a semi-detached house in Beadnell. It's right next to a little inlet, so you get swans and ducks going past. The view from the sun room is of that water.

It's a 4 Star place, so it's in good condition. Sleeps three in two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed and the other has a single. One bathroom.

You access it through the sun room, which has underfloor heating. That's also where the washing machine is. The main living space is open plan with French doors out to a big decked balcony. There's garden furniture out there. The cushions are stored in the sun room.

Beadnell itself is small. There's a village shop and a couple of pubs that do food, all about five minutes' walk. The closest bit of coast is a small, rocky bay about 300 yards away. The main beach, Beadnell Bay, is under a mile. It's a big sandy beach, good for watersports or just walking.

Seahouses is a mile up the coast. That's where you get the boat trips out to the Farne Islands. You can see the puffins and seals. There's more shops and cafes there too.

Bamburgh is about four miles, with its huge castle on the hill. Alnwick is a few miles inland, which has Alnwick Castle and the big treehouse in the Garden. Both are worth a trip.

Facilities: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
