Pebble Cottage is in Seahouses. It's a terraced cottage on one of the streets back from the harbour. It's about a three-minute walk to the water.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. We've just finished refurbishing it, so it's all new inside. There's a wood burner in the living room. The back garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs.
Speaking of dogs, you can bring two. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher.
The harbour is close. You can get boat trips from there out to the Farne Islands to see the seals and puffins. National Trust Farne Islands has the details. The beach is just along from the harbour.
In the village there are shops, pubs, and places to eat. It's a proper fishing port. For a longer walk, you can pick up the Northumberland Coast Path.
Bamburgh Castle is about ten minutes down the road. Alnwick Castle and Gardens is around half an hour's drive. If you don't mind a bit further, Holy Island (Lindisfarne) is about forty minutes, but you have to check the tide times for the causeway.
