Ladyburn House

Ladyburn House is in the old part of Seahouses, near the harbour. It's a new build, finished in 2021, but done to look right for the area. It sleeps eight, has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard.

The house is on three floors. The stairs are fine. There's a private courtyard for parking.

You're a couple of minutes' walk from the harbour. There are pubs, restaurants, and fish and chip shops there. The beach is about a twenty minute walk. It's a proper sandy beach, with views over to Bamburgh Castle.

The main thing here is the boat trips from the harbour. They go out to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals. It's worth booking. The National Trust Farne Islands page has good information.

Bamburgh is ten minutes by car. The castle is impressive. The Grace Darling Museum is there too. Further up the coast, Holy Island is about half an hour's drive. You have to check the tide times for the crossing.

Alnwick is thirty minutes away. The castle and gardens are good. Berwick-upon-Tweed is about forty minutes.

The house has a dishwasher, washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance. You can bring one dog.

For planning, the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty site is useful.
