Sandy Toes

Sandy Toes is in Beadnell. It's an end-terrace on a modern estate with other holiday lets. It's simple and clean, which is what the 4 Star rating is about.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. The stairs are fine. The back garden is a decked area, fully enclosed, so it's safe for a dog or if you have kids. You can sit out there.

You're really close to the beach. It's about a three-minute walk. Beadnell Bay is a big sandy beach, good for swimming if you're brave, but very popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers. The village has a shop and a decent pub that does food.

Seahouses is two miles up the road. That's where you get the boat trips out to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals. There are more shops and cafes there too.

Bamburgh is another three miles north. The castle is spectacular. It's an English Heritage site. Alnwick is inland, about a twenty-minute drive. Alnwick Castle and the Gardens are worth a day. The treehouse restaurant is there if that's your thing.

For a walk, the coast path is right there. You can walk to Seahouses or up to Bamburgh along it.

The place has a washing machine, WiFi, and parking for one car on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
