This is Honeysuckle Cottage in Doxford. It's a stone cottage, one of a row of three, on a quiet road. The front looks out over fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. It's not modern or fancy, but it works. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs.
You're welcome to walk on the farmland behind the cottage. There are proper paths through it. The coast is very close. The beach at Embleton is about three miles, a long stretch of sand. Craster is nearby for kippers. Dunstanburgh Castle is a good walk from there.
Seahouses is ten minutes by car. That's where you get the boats out to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals. Alnwick is about fifteen minutes inland. The castle is there, and so are the Alnwick Garden water features.
The local shop and pub are a mile and a half away, in the village. The pub serves food.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. There's WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can park right outside.
