Ash Cottage is in Dunstan, Northumberland. It's one in a short terrace. It's an old fisherman's cottage, so it's small and the rooms are a good size for what it is. It sleeps three, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is right. It's clean and comfortable, but don't expect luxury.
The front door opens right onto the street, so you'll see neighbours walking past. There's a small, private patio area out the back with a table. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
You're right next to The Cottage Inn. They do good food and it's handy. Craster is about a mile down the road. You can walk it along the coastal path if you fancy. That's where you get the kippers and you can see Dunstanburgh Castle.
There's a bus that goes to Alnwick from Craster if you don't want to drive. Alnwick Castle and the gardens are worth a visit. The coast around here is good for walking. You can walk to Craster and up to the castle easily.
We allow one well-behaved dog. There's on-site parking for one car, which is round the back. You get bedding and towels. There's a TV and WiFi. The kitchen has what you need for basic meals.
