Ash Cottage

Ash Cottage is the middle one in a short white terrace. It was built in the 1700s for the fishermen who worked out of Craster. It's small and simple, but sound.

It sleeps three people. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's a 3 Star rating, so you know it's clean and everything works, but it's not fancy. The stairs are steep. If you're very tall, you'll need to watch your head in a couple of doorways.

You share a small front patio area with the neighbour. The back yard is private. It's mostly paved with a bit of grass, good for a dog.

The Cottage Inn pub is directly across the lane. They do good food, and it's handy. There's a village shop about a five minute walk away. Craster is about a mile down the road. You can walk there along the coast path if you want. That's where you get the famous kippers.

For a proper day out, Alnwick and its castle are about fifteen minutes by car. The beach at Bamburgh is twenty minutes north. The bus stop is just up the lane if you don't want to drive.

What's here: WiFi, TV, washing machine, parking for one car. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
