The Gap is in Boulmer, Northumberland. It's a stone cottage on a small terrace of three houses. You have your own access though, so it's private. There's a decent-sized garden, mostly lawn.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms and the main family bathroom are on the ground floor. There's a wet room down there too, which is handy. The master bedroom is upstairs and has its own ensuite shower. The stairs are open-tread, just so you know.
There are two living areas. One downstairs with a wood burner and French doors to the garden. Upstairs there's a second snug room with a big window. It looks out over farmland towards the sea. The view is the main thing there.
The kitchen has slate flooring and a dishwasher. There's a washing machine, wifi, and an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
Boulmer itself is a quiet fishing village. You can walk along the shore and see the boats. The local pub is about half a mile away. For a shop, you'd need to drive to Alnmouth, which is about three miles. You can also walk there along the coast path. Alnmouth has a few pubs, shops, and a couple of golf courses.
Alnwick is a short drive inland. It's a proper market town with more options. Alnwick Garden is there, and Alnwick Castle. The castle was used in the Harry Potter films.
The cottage is right on National Cycle Route 1, so it's good for cycling. We have bike storage. The beach is about half a mile away. For wider planning, the Northumberland National Park and Northumberland Coast AONB sites are useful.
