The Nook is a mid-terrace cottage in Alnwick. It's on a quiet lane, set back from the main road. You can walk into the town centre easily.
It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable without being high-end. It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase, so they're a bit steep.
The living room has a wood burner. We leave some logs to get you started. The kitchen is at the back, it's a decent size with a table. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Everything's included: bedding, towels, electricity.
You're about a ten minute walk from Alnwick Castle and the Alnwick Garden. The castle is the Duke of Northumberland's home and they used it for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. The garden is massive, with big water features and a treehouse restaurant. Barter Books in the old railway station is good for a rainy day.
The coast is about a twenty minute drive. Places like Alnmouth and Boulmer have long sandy beaches. Heading inland, Cragside is just over half an hour away. It's a National Trust place with a huge Victorian house and loads of walking trails in the woods. Well worth a trip.
There's a shop and a couple of pubs within half a mile. The cottage is all on one level from the front door, so the entrance is wheelchair accessible. No pets, I'm afraid.
