The Physicians House
The Physicians House is a Georgian place in the middle of Alnwick. It's a big townhouse, so it's tall and the stairs are quite steep. It's over four floors. You're a couple of minutes' walk from the market square and everything in the town centre.
It sleeps ten, across five bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, one with a deep roll-top bath. There's a proper, well-equipped kitchen for cooking for a group, and a formal dining room with a large old table. For relaxing, there's a living room on the ground floor and a vault bar in the cellar, which is full of character. Up on the top floor is the cinema room, with loungers and games consoles.
Outside, there's a small courtyard with a table and a chimenea.
You're very close to Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden. The castle is famous for Harry Potter filming, among other things. The cinema and theatre are literally a few doors down.
Alnmouth, with its beach and estuary, is about four miles east. The coast north and south of there is beautiful for walking. Northumberland National Park is about a half-hour drive west. The Northumberland Coast is easily reachable.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and bedding and towels. There's bicycle storage. No pets.
