This is Middle Cottage, in Shilbottle. It's one of three in a short terrace.
It's got three bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it sleeps six. It has a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The main bedroom and one bathroom are on the ground floor, which is handy. The other two bedrooms are upstairs. The stairs are fine, typical cottage stairs.
The garden is fully enclosed. It's got a patio area and a lawn. There's a wood burner in the living room. You get one well-behaved pet.
The pub is about a hundred yards up the road. They do food. The village shop is a few minutes' walk.
You're right in the middle of things here. Alnmouth and its beach are about four miles east. Alnwick is about four miles west. Alnwick Castle is there, along with the Alnwick Garden. From Alnmouth station you can get the train down to Newcastle or up to Edinburgh.
Up the coast, Seahouses is about twelve miles. You can get boat trips from there out to the Farne Islands to see the seabirds. Bamburgh Castle is a bit further on.
For walking, you've got the coast path or the Cheviot hills inland, both about a half hour's drive. The coast is part of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
