Bertram Cottage
Bertram Cottage is in Felton village, right on the A1. It's a terraced cottage, stone built. You get a little enclosed patio out the back for sitting.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's been done up recently. There's a stairgate fitted at the top.
The village has a shop about three minutes' walk away. There's a pub about the same distance, they do food. The local café is good.
You're about twenty minutes' drive from the coast here. Alnmouth beach is the nearest, it's a sandy estuary. For the big beaches, you want Druridge Bay or down towards Bamburgh. Craster is about half an hour away, you can walk along to Dunstanburgh Castle from there. The harbour's where they smoke the kippers.
Alnwick is ten minutes up the road. The castle and gardens are there. The gardens are the main thing, with the water features. Morpeth is about fifteen minutes the other way, for shops and cafés.
For golf, Burgham Park is five minutes away. For walks, you can pick up the Coquet Way along the river from the village. Hadrian's Wall is about an hour's drive west, around Corbridge or Housesteads.
Facilities: it's got a dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair. The garden is enclosed. You can bring dogs, up to three.
