Ash Cottage is near Rothbury, in Northumberland. It's one of three converted barns set back from the road, with open fields around it.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. Everything's on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-kept and comfortable.
The main bedroom has windows on two sides, so you get the view. There's a wood burning stove in the living area. The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher. You get your own patio and garden area outside.
Rothbury village is a short drive away for shops and pubs. The cottage is a good base for walking straight out into the countryside. For a bigger day out, you're close to the Northumberland National Park. Northumberland National Park has all the information for routes and places like Simonside and Hadrian's Wall.
Within about half an hour you can drive to Alnwick Castle and Gardens, or up to the coast at places like Alnmouth. The National Trust sites at Cragside and Wallington are also nearby.
Facilities included are WiFi, a washing machine, parking, and bedding and towels. There's a cot and highchair if needed. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
If you're coming with a bigger group, Ash Cottage can be booked next door to Oak Cottage, which sleeps five.
