Ash Cottage
Ash Cottage is on the edge of The Lee, near Rothbury. It's a barn conversion, one of three on the site, but you get your own garden and space. It's in a field, very quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom, all on the ground floor so there aren't any stairs. That was planned from the start. It's got a 4 Star rating which means it's well-finished.
The main thing to know is it does have a wood burner. It's nice when you've been out in the air all day. The kitchen is modern, with a dishwasher.
You can see the countryside from the windows. For walks, it's pretty much straight out the door onto the moors. The coast at Alnwick or Alnmouth is about half an hour's drive.
The cottage next door, Oak Cottage, can be booked with this one if you've got a bigger group. It sleeps five, so together they'd fit nine.
Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
