Lee View is the cottage on its own in The Lee. It’s a quiet spot, just a few houses. You’re looking out over fields. Good for a couple who want some peace.
It’s a 4 Star place. That means it’s well looked after. One bedroom, one bathroom. Everything’s on one level, which is handy. The shower’s good.
You’ve got a garden that’s fenced in. There’s a patio with a table and a barbecue. Parking is right there.
Inside it’s open plan. Kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. TV and WiFi are there. Bedding and towels are included. We can put a cot or highchair in if you need one.
The front door opens onto farmland. You can just start walking from there. For a proper shop or a meal, you drive a few miles. Longhorsley has a village shop and a pub, about two miles. Longframlington, three and a half miles, has two pubs that do food. Rothbury is four miles. It’s got a few shops, cafes, and pubs.
For a day out, Cragside in Rothbury is the big one. It’s a National Trust house with massive grounds. Worth booking. National Trust Cragside.
Alnwick Castle is about half an hour by car. It’s the big castle you see on films. The coast is east, maybe 25 minutes to Druridge Bay. It’s a long beach, good for a walk. Further north you get the Heritage Coast, with more beaches and castles.
Morpeth is nine miles. They’ve got a swimming pool and shops. You can get the train from there to Newcastle or Edinburgh if you fancy a city day without driving.
No pets, I’m afraid.
