This is Lee View. It's a detached cottage built about fifteen years ago. It's just on the edge of a quiet hamlet called The Lee, right in the Northumberland countryside. The main windows look out over fields.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating, which basically means it's comfortable and well-finished. Everything's on one level, so no stairs.
The place is open plan. You've got a kitchen area, a sitting area, and doors out to a private, enclosed patio with a bit of lawn. There's parking right outside. It's got heating, wifi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included.
You can walk straight out from the door onto quiet lanes and farm tracks. The A697 is close by if you need to get somewhere quickly.
For a shop or a pub, you need to drive a few miles. Longhorsley is about two miles away and has a village shop and a pub. Longframlington is three and a half miles and has a couple of pubs that do food. Rothbury is four miles and has more options: a few pubs, cafes, and some independent shops. The big attraction there is Cragside, which is a National Trust house with massive gardens. It's very good.
Morpeth is about nine miles. That's a proper town with supermarkets, a swimming pool, and a train station. You can get trains to Newcastle or Edinburgh from there if you fancy a day out without driving.
For beaches, you're looking at about half an hour's drive to places like Druridge Bay. The Northumberland coast, with all its castles, is a bit further but easily doable for a day out. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about twenty miles away, which is under thirty minutes.
