Oak Cottage is near Rothbury, in Northumberland. It's one of three barn conversions in a little group, set out on its own in the fields. You're about a mile or so from the village itself.
It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. Two of those are doubles, and one is a single. Having two bathrooms is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's well done up inside, feels quite fresh.
The main room has big windows at the end looking straight out over the fields. It's a good view. The main bedroom is on the ground floor and has doors out to its own bit of patio. The stairs are fine.
You get your own garden area. There's parking right there. The facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
Rothbury has shops, cafes, and a couple of pubs. It's a good base. You're on the edge of the Northumberland National Park straight away for walking. For bigger days out, Alnwick Castle and Gardens are about half an hour's drive. The coast at Alnmouth or Craster is also roughly 30 minutes.
