Rothbury Cottage is in Rothbury. The town has a few pubs and shops, which are about a two-minute walk from the front door. The cottage itself is in a quiet little close.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. The garden wraps around the cottage and there's a south-facing patio. It gets the sun.
The stairs are a standard cottage staircase. There's a step down into the living room. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and a seat is fitted.
You're right on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. The Simonside Hills are there if you want a proper walk. For a gentler one, the River Coquet path is nice.
Cragside is here in Rothbury. It's a National Trust property, the first house lit by hydro-electricity. The gardens are good. Alnwick Castle is about a 20-minute drive.
The coast is about 40 minutes away by car. That's where the big beaches and castles like Bamburgh are. Kielder Water is roughly 40 minutes in the other direction.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a cot. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the drive. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the rest of the cottage has steps. Sorry, no pets.
