Addycombe Cottage

Addycombe Cottage is in Rothbury, about five minutes' walk from the High Street. It's on the ground floor. It was built in the 1870s for workers from the Cragside estate.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. You can bring one dog.

The living area is a good size. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. It gets the morning sun. The garden is out the back, it's enclosed.

Rothbury is a small market town. There are a few pubs and cafés on the High Street, all within walking distance. The River Coquet runs through it, you can walk along there.

Cragside House is just outside town. It's a National Trust property with big gardens. You can easily spend a day there. The Simonside Hills are right there for walking. You're on the edge of the Northumberland National Park.

For a day out, Alnwick Castle is about 12 miles away. The Northumberland coast, like Alnmouth or Bamburgh, is within a 30 minute drive. That's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Kielder Water is about an hour's drive.

Facilities: there's parking on site, a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. The local golf course is a 5 minute drive.
