Beech Cottage

Beech Cottage is in Hepple, a small village just inside the Northumberland National Park. It's a 19th century cottage right next to the village post office. The back garden is small but gets the sun and looks out over the fields towards Simonside.

It sleeps four in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable but don't expect anything fancy. Some of the ceilings are low, which is pretty standard for a cottage this age.

The cottage has a wood burning stove, which is nice in the evenings. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and parking for one car right outside.

The nearest shop and pub are in Rothbury, about four miles away. Rothbury has a good butcher, a few cafes, and some nice walks by the river. For a bigger trip, Alnwick with its castle is about a 25 minute drive. Cragside and Wallington Hall, both National Trust places, are within half an hour.

Because you're on the edge of the National Park, the night skies are very dark here, if that's your sort of thing. For walking, you can just head straight out from the door.
