Honeypot Cottage

Honeypot Cottage is in Rothbury. It's on a bit of a slope, so it looks out over the town. There's a raised decking area with seating we call the gin balcony.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom downstairs has zip-and-link beds, so you can have a super king or twins. That's handy. There's a walk-in shower downstairs and a separate bath. Two of the bedrooms have Smart TVs and an Alexa thing.

It's a 5 Star place, so it's well kitted out. Everything's new and clean. You've got a wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine, all that. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right there.

The garden is terraced. It's not fully fenced off, so you'd need to keep an eye on dogs or small kids. You can get a barbecue going in the summer.

You can bring two dogs. Straight out the back, you can walk up onto the moor and into Cragside estate without going on a road. There are miles of safe walks from the door.

Rothbury itself has shops, pubs, and cafes about half a mile away. Good for a coffee or a pint. There are river walks and you can go up into the Simonside Hills.

For days out, Cragside is right there. It's a National Trust place, the house and grounds are massive. Alnwick Castle is about 12 miles away. The coast is maybe a 30-minute drive. Northumberland National Park is on the doorstep and Northumberland Coast isn't far either.
