The Old Stables is in Whitton, on the edge of Rothbury in Northumberland. It's a single-storey cottage, so everything's on one level. It was the stables for the big house originally, but it's been done up now.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and has everything you need. There's a wood burner, which is good when it gets cold.
You can walk into Rothbury in about fifteen minutes. It's a small market town. There are a few pubs that do food, some cafes, and a decent butcher. Parking in the town is free. The cottage has its own parking.
The cottage is wheelchair accessible at the entrance, and because it's all on one level, it might suit someone with limited mobility. But you should check the full details with us first.
You can just walk out the door and into the countryside. The River Coquet is nice for a gentle walk. For proper hiking, the Simonside Hills are right there. Northumberland National Park isn't far for a day out.

You can drive to Alnwick in under half an hour for the castle and gardens. The Northumberland coast, with all the castles and beaches like Alnmouth or Bamburgh, is about a 40-minute drive. It's a bit further than 30 minutes, but it's the main thing people come here for.
Facilities: It's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. You can bring up to two dogs.
