Allotment Cottage is in Rothbury. It's a small one-bedroom cottage for two people, tucked behind the High Street. It looks out over the old family allotments, so it's quiet.
The cottage has a three star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean, but it's not newly renovated. The living room is a good size with an open fireplace you can't use. The kitchen area gets the sun in the morning.
You're about a three-minute walk from the village square and the river. There are a few pubs, cafes, and shops. You can walk everywhere from the cottage. There's parking right outside.
Rothbury is good for walking and cycling. It's right next to the Simonside Hills and on the edge of Northumberland National Park.
Cragside is just outside the town. It's a National Trust house with massive gardens. You can walk there from the cottage, or drive. There's plenty of parking there.
You can be at the coast in about half an hour. Places like Alnmouth and Warkworth have good beaches. Northumberland Coast is the area to look up. Alnwick Castle and Garden is about a 20-minute drive. Kielder Water is about an hour away, if you fancy a different kind of day out.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, Wi-Fi, a shower, and a small garden area. The whole place is on one level, so there are no steps to get in. You can bring up to three dogs. Bedding and towels are included.
