Todburn East is in Wingates. It's a detached house, not a cottage really. It's next to our equestrian centre, so you might see horses. The main living space is on the ground floor.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and there's plenty of room.
The garden has a fully enclosed area for dogs, about 90 square metres. There's a conservatory with seating that looks out over the fields. It's a good spot.
The stairs inside are steep and a bit narrow. Just so you know.
You're two minutes from the A697, but it feels quiet. There are walks right from the door. The old Roman road, the Devil's Causeway, goes through the field next to the property.
Longhorsley village is about two miles away. It has a shop and a pub. Morpeth is nine miles for more shops and places to eat. They've got a swimming pool there too.
Rothbury is eight miles. Nice for a walk by the river. The National Trust's Cragside is there, which is worth seeing.
Alnwick Castle is about fourteen miles. The coast at Druridge Bay is roughly the same distance. For the Dark Skies, you'd head towards Otterburn and Kielder, which is about a half hour drive.
Facilities: woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. Parking on site. You can bring two dogs.
