Cairnswood

Cairnswood is a lodge in Felton, Northumberland. It's a detached property. Sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The lodge is bright and open plan. There's a raised deck that wraps around it, with a hot tub. You get some privacy from the trees out front, but it's only a short walk to the on-site restaurant and cafe.

The lodge is on a 40-acre country park. There's a small lake with swans, which is nice for an evening walk. You can park right outside.

Facilities included are a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are provided. You can bring one dog. There's a kids' play area on site.

It's very close to the A1, which makes getting around easy, but you still feel tucked away. Northumberland Zoo is literally half a mile up the road if you're walking. Burgham Golf Course is the same distance.

Alnwick is about a 15-minute drive. You've got Alnwick Castle and the Alnwick Garden there. Morpeth is a similar distance the other way, it's a nice market town. The village of Felton itself has a good cafe and a decent pub.

From here, you can get to the coast at Alnmouth in 20 minutes. Northumberland National Park and stretches of Hadrian's Wall are within a 30 to 40-minute drive. Newcastle city centre is about half an hour south.
