Granary Cottage is one of two on a working farm in Earsdon. I live on site with my horses. The place sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own shower room, which is handy.
It's a terraced cottage. Downstairs there's a living room and then a conservatory that's used as a dining room. It's bright. The whole place is clean and presented well. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable but not luxurious.
You're on a farm, so it's rural, but you can get to the A1 in a few minutes. That makes getting around easy. The local pub and a restaurant are about a mile down the road. The nearest shop is in Morpeth, about six miles away.
Druridge Bay and the nature reserve are about six miles east. Good for a walk on the beach. Morpeth is a nice market town to the south. You can get a train from there to Newcastle or even up to Edinburgh if you fancy a day out.
Rothbury, by the River Coquet, is about 13 miles west. Alnwick with its castle is north, maybe a 20-25 minute drive. All the big Northumberland sights like Northumberland National Park, the Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the English Heritage sites are within a half hour or so.
For facilities, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but it's worth noting the bedrooms are upstairs. We can provide a cot and highchair if needed. No pets, sorry.
