Abbey Cottage
Abbey Cottage is in Longhirst, Northumberland. It's a detached house, so no one attached.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a wood burner for the evenings and two bedrooms downstairs, which is handy.
The garden out the back is enclosed. There's a barbecue there. You can park on the drive.
It's quiet here, but you're only a few minutes from the A1, which makes getting about easy. Morpeth is three miles away. That's a proper market town with shops and pubs. The coast is about five miles. That's places like Druridge Bay, which is good for walks.
There's a golf course on the doorstep at Longhirst Hall, open to the public. The shop is a mile and a half, the nearest pub is about two miles.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
If you're looking for things to do, the coast and all the castles are within half an hour. Northumberland County Council parks page has good local walking info, and National Trust North East covers a lot of the big historic sites.
