Dolphin Cottage
Dolphin Cottage is in Newbiggin by the Sea. It's a three-bedroom end-terrace house, sleeps five. You have one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. The back yard is enclosed.
The beach is two minutes away. It's a flat promenade and a sandy bay. People surf and paddleboard here. You can sometimes see dolphins. At low tide, there are rockpools at each end of the bay. There's a statue out on the water called 'The Couple'.
Newbiggin has one of the oldest lifeboat stations. The crew are often around on Sunday mornings if you want to say hello. There's a Maritime Centre with a cafe at the far end of the promenade, and a good ice cream parlour by the bandstand.
For a day out, Alnwick Castle is about 25 miles away. The historic market town of Morpeth is eight miles. Hadrian's Wall is under an hour's drive. Northumberland National Park is good for a proper walk, and you can drive up the coast to Holy Island if you want.
In the house, there's a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's no cot, so you'd need to bring your own for a baby. No pets allowed.
