Sea Haven
Sea Haven is a small terraced house in Newbiggin by the Sea. You're in a row, but you've got your own private back garden. The beach is at the end of the street, a couple of minutes' walk away.
It's a four-star property, sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one twin, and a family bathroom. We had it all redone a few years ago, so it's fresh and clean. Everything works.
The kitchen is part of the main living space downstairs. It's open plan, so it feels quite spacious. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine.
Being on a quiet street is good, but the front door opens right onto the pavement. Just something to be aware of with kids.
For the beach, it's mostly sand with some rocks for pools. There's a sculpture out in the bay, which people seem to like. You might see dolphins if you're lucky. The village has what you need: a shop, a couple of pubs, and some cafes. There's an Italian restaurant and an Indian restaurant too.
If you want to explore, Morpeth is about nine miles west for shops. Druridge Bay is a few miles north, great for long walks. The coast road north from there goes through some lovely places and you can get all the way up to Holy Island if you fancy a drive.
Further afield, Alnwick Castle is about 25 miles away. Newcastle city centre is 18 miles south, easy for a day out.

Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, bedding and towels included, garden with patio. The entrance is step-free, so it's okay for wheelchair access to get in. No pets.
