Beside The Sea

Beside The Sea is a two bedroom house in Newbiggin by the Sea. It sleeps four and has a 4 Star rating. It's refurbished, so it's clean and modern.

The main thing is the view. From the front living room and the upstairs bedroom, you look straight out to sea. There's a bench out front where you can sit and watch it. At the back, there's an enclosed yard. There's no garden.

You're right on the promenade. The beach is about 30 yards from the door. It's sandy with rock pools. Part of the beach is closed to dogs in the summer, but there's a section open all year. The details are in the house.

You can walk the whole bay on the flat promenade. The RNLI lifeboat station and shop are just along from you. There's a local pub, a couple of restaurants, and shops all within a couple of minutes' walk. It's a proper seaside village.

For longer walks, the coastal path goes north to Druridge Bay. Church Point, at the end of the promenade, is good for birdwatching and you might see seals.

If you want to explore, you're well placed. Alnwick Castle is about a 30 minute drive north. Bamburgh and its castle are a bit further, maybe 40 minutes. Heading south, Whitley Bay and Tynemouth are about half an hour away. Morpeth is 9 miles inland.

Practical things: it has one bathroom with a shower. Bedding and towels are included. WiFi and TV are there. You can bring one dog. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
