Seashells By The Sea
Seashells By The Sea is in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea. It's one of two cottages we have that are near each other, useful if you've got two families. The cottage is at the back of a residential street and looks out over fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star property, so it's clean and comfortable. There's a washing machine, Wi-Fi, and parking right there.
The big thing is the private hot tub. It's in a covered outhouse so you've got privacy. We leave gowns and slippers for it.
The beach and the promenade are about a ten-minute walk. The beach is sandy and doesn't get too crowded, even in summer. There's a sculpture in the bay called The Couple. The local pub and a restaurant are about the same walk away.
Newbiggin has an 18-hole cliff-top golf course. I can arrange a discount for you on a round if you let me know beforehand.
Within a half-hour drive, you've got a few good places. Woodhorn Museum is close by for local history. Druridge Bay and Cresswell have long, empty beaches. Morpeth is about eight miles for shops and more places to eat.
If you want to go further, you're well-placed for the Northumberland coast. You can head up to Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island. Kielder Water and Forest Park is inland for walking and dark skies. Hadrian's Wall is to the west.
You can bring two dogs. We include all bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
