This is Hedgehog Hideaway in Stakeford. It's a single glamping pod, detached, on the edge of a quiet residential caravan park.
It sleeps three, but it's really best for two. There's one proper double bed and a sofa bed in the main room. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and modern inside but it's a pod, so the space is compact. Everything's in one open-plan room, kitchen, bed, seating area. There are big bi-fold doors at the front you can open right up.
It's got its own raised deck with a gate, which is nice to sit out on. The view is over the river and trees. It's very quiet. You can see rabbits and if you're lucky, red squirrels.
The park itself is a local nature reserve. There's a café on site that's open every day. The River Wansbeck is right there if you want to paddleboard or kayak, there's a slipway nearby. For a proper walk, you can follow the river path.
You're about four miles from the coast at Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, which has a sandy beach. Morpeth is a ten minute drive, it's a nice market town with shops. Northumberland National Park and Hadrian's Wall are inland, maybe a 40 minute drive depending on which bit you're heading for.
Facilities: there's parking right by the pod, a small private decked area, WiFi, TV, bedding and towels are included. The kitchen has the basics. It says no pets.
