Bracken Dene is a semi-detached house in Lynemouth, which is a coastal village near the Northumberland coast. It's modern, built in the last couple of decades.
It sleeps six. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and has what you need. It says it's good for families and friends, and it probably is because the rooms are a decent size.
The practical things first. There's a garden front and back, a washing machine, parking right outside, and the bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. There's a patio with a BBQ. Wifi is included in the price.
The stairs are normal house stairs, not steep cottage ones. There's a little sun room off the back.
The location is straightforward. You're about two miles back from the coast at Cresswell. That beach is sandy and you can see Coquet Island from there. There's an ice cream cabin.
For a walk, Druridge Bay country park is about five miles up the coast. It's a nature reserve, good for a flat walk or birdwatching.
In the village, there's a local shop about a hundred yards away and a pub that does food about a mile. There are takeaways too. Newbiggin-by-the-Sea is two miles south. It's a small seaside town with a sandy beach, a long flat promenade, and a few cafes and pubs.
If you want to go further, Morpeth is eight miles west. It's a nice market town for shops and food. Amble is ten miles north, has a Sunday market. Alnwick, with the castle and gardens, is about half an hour's drive north. You can get to Hadrian's Wall in under an hour, or into the Northumberland National Park.
Morpeth has a train station if you want to go into Newcastle for the day without driving.
