Sandsedge Cottage

Sandsedge Cottage is in Ellington, in Northumberland. It's a converted stone barn, one of a small group. The main thing is, it's about a three minute walk to the beach at Druridge Bay. Just head down the lane.

It sleeps four. There are three bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. You'll see the original beams and stonework. The living room has an arched window and a multi-fuel stove. We leave some logs for you.

The beach is the big draw. It's a long, sandy beach with dunes. Good for walks, letting the dog run, and just sitting. It can be windy, so take a coat. The cottage itself has a small, enclosed garden with a patio and a barbecue.

There's a pub in the village, a few minutes' walk away. It does food. For shops, you'll need to drive to either Ashington or Amble, both about ten minutes away.

If you want to explore, you're well placed. The whole coast here is good. Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle are about twenty minutes north. Alnwick Castle and its garden are about half an hour away. Morpeth is inland, maybe twenty-five minutes. For a bigger day out, Newcastle is around forty minutes by car.

Practical stuff: there's parking right outside. WiFi works okay. Washing machine in the kitchen. We can provide a travel cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. Bed linen is included.
