Barley Mill is one of two cottages here on Peigh Hills Farm in Earsdon. It's a terrace cottage, next to Granary Cottage. I live on site, you'll probably see me around with the horses. The farm is quiet but you're not far from the A1, so it's a good spot for getting out and about.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own en-suite shower rooms. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The living room leads through to a kitchen and then a conservatory at the back, which is nice and light.
There's a pub about a mile away for food. The nearest shop is in Morpeth, about a six mile drive. Morpeth's a proper market town with trains that can get you to Newcastle or Edinburgh if you fancy a day in the city.
You're about six miles from Druridge Bay. It's a long stretch of sand, good for walking the dog. There's a nature reserve there too. Alnwick and its castle are about a 30 minute drive north, up the A1. Rothbury, which is at the edge of the Simonside Hills, is about the same distance west.
Facilities wise: parking is right outside. There's a washing machine, a cot and highchair if you need them, and bedding and towels are included. The entrance and ground floor are wheelchair accessible. No pets, sorry.
