Robin Cottage Nr Rothbury
This is Robin Cottage, outside Rothbury. It's a one bedroom stone place, sleeps three. All on the ground floor. It got done up a few years ago.
It's part of a small group of farm buildings at High Weldon, so you'll see other cottages but it's quiet. The main thing is it has its own private access to the River Coquet. If you want to, you can arrange salmon or trout fishing right there.
The living room has a wood burner. The kitchen is a good size with lots of light. There's an arched window that looks out over the garden and fields.
You're welcome to bring one dog. There's a bridle path running through the farm that goes straight to the local pub, about three quarters of a mile. It's great for walks.
There's a welcome pack when you arrive with eggs, scones, milk, and things for the dog. They leave a picnic set out too.
Rothbury is close, for shops and cafes. The coast at Alnmouth or Craster is about half an hour's drive. You're right on the edge of the Northumberland National Park for walking.
Facilities: it's got wifi, TV, a washing machine, parking, and a garden with a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
If you're planning trips, the National Trust Northumberland Coast and Northumberland National Park sites are useful.
