Robin Cottage Nr Rothbury
Robin Cottage is up at High Weldon, near Rothbury. It's a stone cottage, used to be a farm building. Everything's on the ground floor, which is handy.
It's for three people. One bedroom, one bathroom. The bedroom has its own en-suite. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's been done up nicely. It was refurbished in 2021. The main room has a wood burner for the colder nights, and a big arched window with a view over the garden.
The kitchen has a new table and chairs. There's a washing machine, and WiFi. Outside there's a patio and garden for yourselves, and you can get to the River Coquet from the grounds. You can sometimes arrange salmon or trout fishing.
The owners leave a welcome pack with eggs, scones, jam, milk, and things for the dog. You can bring one dog.
There's a pub and restaurant about three quarters of a mile down the lane. The nearest shop is in Longframlington, about two miles. The coast at Alnmouth is roughly twelve miles away.
Rothbury is close by, that's good for walks on the moors. You're about half an hour's drive from Alnwick Castle and the Northumberland coast. The Northumberland National Park is right on the doorstep. For wider planning, Visit Northumberland has good information.
There's parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. They've got a cot and highchair if you need them.
