Unwind @36
This is Unwind @36. It's one of two lodges, @36 and @37. They're next to each other but detached and private. They're set back from everything, looking over a stream with fields behind.
The lodge sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom has an en-suite. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's all open plan inside, and because of the windows it's very light.
Outside, there's a large decked area. It's private. That's where the sunken hot tub is. There's plenty of seating out there too, good for watching the stream.
The lodge is on Bockenfield Country Park. It's a quiet spot. The park itself isn't huge. There's a children's play area with a big pirate ship and a zip wire. There's also a small clubhouse that does drinks and snacks, and sometimes they put on kids' activities.
Location-wise, it's just off the A1 between Morpeth and Alnwick. You're about 20 minutes from the coast. The beaches up here are massive and often empty. Alnwick is about nine miles away. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are there. The Northumberland Coast National Landscape has all the information for beaches and walks.
Morpeth is a few miles south. It's a nice market town with shops and places to eat. For a day trip, Hadrian's Wall is under an hour's drive. English Heritage looks after some of the forts there.
What's here: everything's included. Washing machine, towels, bedding, WiFi, TV. There's parking right outside. You can bring up to two dogs.
