Bumble Cottage
Bumble Cottage is in Newton on the Moor. It's a small place, right by the A1, so it's easy to get to but you're quickly out into the countryside.
It's two bedrooms, sleeps four, one bathroom. A 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. It's been refurbished. There's an original fireplace with an Aga in it, which is on all the time. The house is always warm because of it.
Out the back, there's a garden room with French doors. You can sit in there with the doors open. There's a patio too.
The pub is about 200 yards away. It's got a good reputation. The nearest shop is about two and a half miles, in Longframlington.
You're about seven miles from the coast at Alnmouth or Warkworth. Good beaches there. Inland, you've got the Cheviot Hills. It's about half an hour to Alnwick Castle or to Craster for the kippers.
If you're heading out, these sites are useful: Northumberland National Park, Northumberland Coast AONB and English Heritage.
Facilities: there's a wood burner, a dishwasher, washing machine, bike storage, wifi. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and highchair. Sorry, no pets.
