Garden Cottage
Garden Cottage is a one bedroom place for two. It's on our farm in Edlingham. You'll be staying in a detached stone building, all on one level.
The rating is 4 Star. It means it's comfortable and well looked after, not that it's huge or brand new. It’s a good, solid cottage.
It's very quiet here. You're just off the yard, with your own enclosed garden. The view from there is across our fields towards the hills. You can sit out there with a drink and not see another person.
Edlingham itself is tiny. There's an old castle ruin and a church up the lane. It's a nice short walk. The nearest shop or pub is about five miles away, so you'll need to drive.
You're in a good spot for getting out. Rothbury and Alnwick are both about six miles away, in opposite directions. Alnwick has the castle and the big gardens. Rothbury is smaller, right on the edge of the National Park.
For a proper day out, Cragside is very close. It's a National Trust house with amazing gardens and walks. It's only about four miles away. The coast, like Craster or Alnmouth, is about a twenty minute drive if you fancy some sea air.
The facilities are what you'd expect. There's a TV, WiFi that's fine for checking things, and parking right outside. All the bedding and towels are included. We don't allow pets.
