Alnwick Malthouse
Alnwick Malthouse is an apartment on the second floor of an old malthouse. It sleeps four, with one king bedroom and one twin bedroom. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating.
You enter through a big glass atrium in the main building, then go up to the apartment. It's at the back, so it's quiet. The main windows look out over some gardens. There's a small balcony off the living room and main bedroom with a table and chairs.
The place has been done up modern inside. It's clean and comfortable. They've kept some bits, like the exposed brick, that nod to the building's past. It's open plan, so the living, dining, and kitchen area is all one space. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine.
You get one private parking space. There's also storage for bikes.
The location is the main thing. You're right in the middle of Alnwick. The shop is a hundred yards away. There's a pub and restaurants about two hundred yards away. You can walk to everything.
Alnwick Castle is a five minute walk. It's the big one you see, where they filmed some Harry Potter scenes. The Alnwick Garden is about a fifteen minute walk. It's massive, with big water features and that famous treehouse restaurant.
From there, you can drive out to the coast. Alnmouth Beach is about four miles. Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle are about half an hour north. Inland, you're on the edge of Northumberland National Park for walking.
