Tweed Cottage
Tweed Cottage is in Alnwick. It's an end terrace house on a quiet street, but you're only two minutes' walk from the main bit of town. That's the main thing about it.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not showy. The stairs are fairly typical for this sort of house.
You can bring one dog. There's a small yard out back, and on-site parking for one car around the front.
Inside, you've got a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We've also got a cot, highchair, and a stairgate if you need them.
There's a shop and a pub about five minutes away on foot. The location is really what you're here for. Alnwick Castle is a short walk. The Alnwick Garden is too. If you drive, the Northumberland coast is stunning. Bamburgh Castle is about twenty minutes away. Seahouses, where you get boat trips to the Farne Islands, is a bit further. Holy Island is accessible when the tide is out, but you must check the crossing times.
You can get to Berwick-upon-Tweed or Newcastle in under an hour. Edinburgh is about an hour and a half if you fancy a day trip.
