Twizell Cottage is in Alnwick. It's an end of terrace, set back in a quiet little lane. You get your own parking spot right next to it.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one with a kingsize bed and one with twins. There's one bathroom, with a shower. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-kept. Everything works.
The stairs are a bit steep. Several people have said that. They're fine for most, but something to be aware of.
Inside, the living room is a good size with sofas. The kitchen and dining area is open plan. The owner pays for Netflix if you want to watch a film.
There's a shop, a pub, and places to eat about a five minute walk away. Swansfield Park is even closer, which is useful for walking a dog. You can bring one dog with you.
Alnwick Castle is very close. They filmed some of the Harry Potter scenes there. The Alnwick Garden is worth a visit too, it's impressive. You can walk to both.
The coast is about five miles away. You've got beaches like Alnmouth and Boulmer. Craster is good for a walk and some kippers. Further up, Bamburgh Castle is about a twenty minute drive.
If you want to explore inland, the Northumberland National Park isn't far. The Cheviot hills are there for walking.
For planning, these sites are helpful: Northumberland Coast AONB, Northumberland National Park, and English Heritage North East.
