This is Dorothy Forster Court in Alnwick. It's a very old place on Narrowgate, right by the entrance to Alnwick Castle.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a four star rating. You get the whole place to yourselves, but the front door is a private one off the street, down a little passageway. You need to be okay with steps. The main stairs inside are fairly steep, old cottage stairs.
Inside, it's open plan on the first floor where you'll do your living. Up another flight to the main bedroom on the second floor. The beams are original. You can see the castle from that top bedroom.
Everything you need is a short walk away. There's a pub about twenty yards from the door. Shops, restaurants, a cinema, all in the town. The castle is the big draw, of course, and the Alnwick Gardens are worth a visit.
The coast is about four miles east. You've got Alnmouth and then the whole Northumberland coast to explore, up to places like Bamburgh. To the west, you've got the Northumberland National Park and the Cheviot hills for walking.
Facilities: there's wifi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We don't allow pets.
