Breezes Cottage

Breezes Cottage is in Longhoughton. It's a stone cottage, end of a terrace. There's a small enclosed garden out the back, which is handy if you're bringing dogs.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both have their own bathrooms, which is useful. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and kept to a high standard. Everything works.

The village has a Co-op for basics. There's a coffee shop right opposite the cottage called Company B. They do good breakfasts and cakes. The Running Fox cafe, a short walk the other way, is dog friendly and popular.

Sugar Sands beach is about a mile and a half down the lane. It's a nice, quiet bay. You get a good view of Dunstanburgh Castle from there.

You're about four miles from Alnwick. That's where the big castle is, the one you might recognise from Harry Potter. The gardens there are worth a visit. Warkworth and its castle are a short drive south, and Craster is north. You can walk along the coast from Craster up to Dunstanburgh Castle.

Further up the coast, Bamburgh Castle is about a twenty minute drive. Holy Island is a bit further, but you need to check the tide times for that.

The cottage has parking for one car. There's a woodburner, a dishwasher, wifi, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. It says it's wheelchair accessible at the entrance.

You can bring up to two dogs.
