Teal Cottage
Teal Cottage is on Front Street in Embleton. It's a stone-built terrace cottage, right in the village. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped. The living area is open plan. We've put in a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's WiFi, a TV, and parking for one car on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot. You can bring up to two dogs.
The village shop is about a minute's walk. The pub and the restaurant are a couple of minutes further. Embleton Bay is about a mile away. It's a good, sandy beach.
You can walk to Dunstanburgh Castle from here along the coastal path. It's a great ruin on the coast. The walk from Craster harbour is particularly good. Craster itself is about two miles up the road. They're famous for their kippers from the smokery there.
Seahouses is seven miles north. From there you can get boat trips out to the Farne Islands to see the seabirds and seals. Alnwick is eight miles south. You've got Alnwick Castle and the gardens there. For a longer day out, Holy Island is about 40 minutes' drive, but you must check the tide times for the crossing.
