Sea Breeze is our place in Beadnell. It's on a quiet cul-de-sac, rows of similar cottages. The beach is about three minutes walk away. A proper sandy beach, huge. You can see the Farne Islands from it on a clear day.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and comfortable, not luxurious. Downstairs is all one open space: kitchen, living area, and a door out to the garden. The garden is enclosed, good for a dog or just sitting out.
You can charge an electric car at the house. There's parking right outside.
Beadnell itself is small. There's a village shop and two pubs that do food, all within a ten minute walk. The Craster Arms does good pizza.
Seahouses is two miles up the coast. That's where you get the boat trips out to the Farne Islands to see the seals and puffins. Bamburgh is another three miles after that, with the castle. You can see it from the beach here.
Alnwick is about seven miles inland. The castle is there, and the Alnwick Garden with its big water features. It's a good market town for a bigger shop.
The whole coast is good for walking. The Northumberland Coast is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For the islands and the castle, the National Trust has all the details.
In the house you've got a washing machine, wifi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We allow one well-behaved dog.
