Cloverfield

Cloverfield is a cottage in Bamburgh village. It's on a quiet street, semi-detached. It's all on the ground floor, so no stairs at all. It sleeps three people.

There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and everything works. We've done it up recently.

You can bring one dog. The garden is enclosed, which is handy for that. There's a parking space right outside.

Bamburgh itself is small. You can walk to a couple of pubs, a shop, and a few cafes. The beach is about a ten minute walk. It's a very long, sandy beach. The castle is the main thing here. It's impressive. You can walk up to it from the cottage.

If you drive, you can get to Holy Island (Lindisfarne) in about twenty minutes. Check the tide times for the causeway. Seahouses is the next village along, five minutes by car. You can get boat trips to the Farne Islands from there to see the puffins and seals.

The facilities are what you'd expect. There's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, and a woodburning stove for the evenings. Everything is included in the price.

Useful links: Northumberland National Park and National Trust North East. The castle is run by a charity, Bamburgh Castle.
