Glebe House is in Bamburgh. It's part of a big old vicarage from the 1700s, but it's a separate wing just for guests. You go in your own door.
It sleeps eight people, in four bedrooms. There's one bathroom and an extra shower downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
What it has is space. It's a big house. A few of the rooms look out towards Bamburgh Castle and the church, which is nice. You get a decent sized garden that's enclosed, with a patio and a barbecue. There's parking on the drive.
Inside, it's set up for a group. Washing machine, dishwasher, wifi. We include the bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. We accept one well-behaved dog.
You're right in the village. The main street with pubs and a couple of shops is a two minute walk. The castle and the beach are maybe five minutes on foot. It's all very close.
For a day out, Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about half an hour south. The Holy Island causeway is a 15 minute drive, but you must check the tide times. Further south, you've got the Northumberland National Park and Hadrian's Wall.
