Glebe House is in Bamburgh, just up the lane from the castle. It's the north wing of a big old vicarage, so it's got good thick walls. We're detached from the other part now, you've got it to yourselves.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, one bathroom. There's a shower over the bath. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well looked after, but it's an old house, so expect the usual things. The rooms are a good size and a couple of them have views of the castle, which is a nice bonus.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing a dog. Speaking of which, we can take one well-behaved dog. There's parking on the drive.
In the house you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and all the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
Bamburgh itself is all right. The beach is massive, just a few minutes' walk down the hill. The castle is the main thing, obviously. There's a couple of pubs and a small shop in the village.
If you want to go further out, Holy Island is about twenty minutes' drive, but you have to check the tide times. Seahouses is next door for boat trips to the Farne Islands. Alnwick and its gardens are maybe half an hour inland.
