Etive Cottage is in Warenford. It's a bungalow, so it's all on one level. It's detached and sits behind electric gates. You get off-street parking.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating, which we keep on top of. The whole garden is enclosed. It's designed for dogs. You can bring up to four. We don't charge extra for them.
It's by the A1. That means you can hear the road sometimes. But you can get everywhere easily from here. It's about nine and a half miles to the nearest good beach.
There's a local pub that serves food about a quarter of a mile away. The shop is in the village, a mile up the road.
You're in a good spot for the coast. Bamburgh Castle is about a twenty minute drive north. Holy Island, Lindisfarne, is a bit further, but you have to check the tide times. The Farne Islands are fantastic for puffins and seals. You get the boat from Seahouses.
Alnwick is fifteen minutes south. That's where the castle and gardens are. Berwick-upon-Tweed is about twenty five minutes north. It's an interesting old border town.
For facilities, you've got a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a golf course nearby too.
If you're planning trips to the castles or coast, these sites are useful: Northumberland County Council for visitor information, and National Trust North East for their properties like Lindisfarne Castle.
