Bellshill Tower
Bellshill Tower is just outside Wooler, in Northumberland. It's an old tower house, converted now. It's on its own, surrounded by woodland and farmland. The views are really something, you can see Bamburgh Castle and the sea to the east, and the Cheviot hills to the west.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is spread over three floors, so there are stairs. They're normal stairs, just something to note.
You're completely private here. There's a big deck at the front, good for sitting out. The living area is open plan with a wood burner. All the logs are provided. French doors open straight into the woods. There's a hammock strung up between the trees.
Two of the bedrooms are up on the top floor. They have these tall, arched windows. The views from up there are great.
It's a good spot for getting to the coast. Bamburgh is about a 20 minute drive. Alnwick with the castle and gardens is maybe 25 minutes. Holy Island is about 40 minutes, but you have to check the tide times. The Northumberland National Park starts just to the west.
For facilities, pretty much everything is here. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, parking. The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
