Cuddy's Rest is in Belford. It's a small detached place at the back of our house.
It sleeps two, one bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Everything's on the ground floor. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. The patio doors make it nice and light.
You can park on the drive. There's a supermarket about 200 yards away, and a couple of pubs and a tea room a short walk. They're handy.
You're about six miles from Bamburgh. The beach there is huge and sandy, and the castle is impressive. Bamburgh Castle is worth a look.
Holy Island, or Lindisfarne, is a 20 minute drive away. You have to check the tide times for the causeway. It's a special place. Lindisfarne Priory is run by English Heritage.
Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed are both about 15 miles in opposite directions. Alnwick has the castle and gardens. The Cheviot Hills and St Cuthbert's Way walks are close by, near Wooler.
For facilities, it's got a woodburning stove, WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage if you need it. No pets, sorry.
