Quarryman's Cottage
This is Quarryman's Cottage in Belford. It's a two-bedroom cottage and it sleeps five. There are two bathrooms, which is handy.
The walls are thick stone, which gives it a solid feel. It keeps the place cool in summer and holds the heat in winter. There's a wood burner in the original fireplace, so it's cosy.
Out the back there's an enclosed garden. You get to it through the garden room. That garden room has a shower room off it.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
You're right in the village. There are three pubs, a supermarket, and a few shops all within walking distance. It's a proper village with a community feel.
The coast is about three miles away. You've got places like Bamburgh with its castle, and Seahouses for boat trips to the Farne Islands. The bus from the village can take you to some of those spots if you don't want to drive.
Inland, you've got the Northumberland National Park and the Cheviot Hills for walking. The dark skies up here are fantastic if you're into that.
Facilities wise: it's got WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, dishwasher, and wood for the burner. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
