Lower Bamburgh View
Lower Bamburgh View is a ground floor apartment on Holy Island. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One's a twin, one's a double. Both have their own shower room, which is handy.
The living room is cosy. There's a small table that folds out if you want to eat in. The kitchen has what you'd expect, an electric oven and a dishwasher. Out the back, there's a private patio with a bit of furniture.
It's right in the middle of the village. You can walk to the shops and pubs in a minute. The pubs do food, but they get busy, especially in summer. It's a good idea to book a table if you want to eat out.
The island itself is the main event. The Priory is a short walk away. The beaches are stunning. Bamburgh Castle is just over the causeway on the mainland. You can see it from here, which is where the name comes from.
You do need to plan your day around the tide times for the causeway. There's a board with the safe crossing times. Berwick-upon-Tweed is about a quarter of an hour's drive once you're off the island, for bigger supermarkets and things.
Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. There's parking. No pets, sorry.
