Lower Bamburgh View
This is Lower Bamburgh View, on Holy Island. It's a ground floor apartment, right in the middle of the village. You can walk everywhere.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two shower rooms. One of those shower rooms is en-suite to the main bedroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The living space was extended a while back, so it's got a decent sized area for sitting and eating.
Outside there's a private patio at the back. You'd use it for a morning coffee or an evening drink.
The kitchen is fine. There's an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.
You’re a minute's walk from the island’s shops and pubs. They’re good, but they get busy. If you plan to eat out on the island in peak season, you should book ahead. There’s no off-road parking.
Holy Island Priory is a short walk away. You can see Bamburgh Castle across the water. Getting to the mainland is easy, the causeway is fine for most of the day. Just check the tide times.
Berwick-upon-Tweed is about a fifteen minute drive away for bigger shops.
If you’re here for the outdoors, it's all around you. There are beaches for walking, local fishing spots, and golf nearby. The coast path is excellent. For more structured days out, the Northumberland Coast National Landscape site is useful, as is Northumberland National Park for inland walks.
